![]() There obviously needs to be some kind of separation, and I think they tried it with arena. Getting beat by someone who blatantly could dunk on you just by looking in your general direction is another, and I think that it generates a sense of animosity not just towards “sweats” but builders in general, and it’s an animosity that’s further stoked by people who come on here and go “lmao just get better” to which I say … well no shit if people could do that then everyone would be a sweat, but obviously we aren’t built the same. Getting beat by a player who’s close to your skill level but above you is fine. I’m all for improving and getting better, but what fortnite has currently is a system that takes players and it metaphorically tosses them in the deep end which doesn’t promote growth. I think the issue is that there should be a very well defined ladder that just isn’t there. So please, stop all the hate, we all play this game for a reason, and that reason doesn't justify toxicity or hate. We all love the game for different reasons, you can't be mad at someone because they are better because they like to practice/grind, just like how that person can't be mad at you because you like to do challenges or casually play. It sucks man, it is really deterring that just because I like to improve, I like the grind, and I like the feeling of proving to myself that I can get better at Fortnite that I'm being insulted / constantly talked shit on ALL my videos. 10k views (Which is HUGE for me) but every comment was "Go touch grass", "You ruined the game for me", "No likes a sweat", "Sweats like you is why Fortnite sucks." I love Fortnite just as much as the people that aren't competitive, I just love different aspects of it. But to judge a set of people because of how they play is completely unfair and you would be upset if it happened to you.Ī great example, I recently posted a Short on YT and it blew up.
